New Meallic PCM has been formulated and its characterization is showing significant industrial potential in high temperature energy recovery


Over the basis of currently exisisting metallic PCM a new complex formulation of a quaternary mixture of metal has been made. A very precise melting point of an euthectic has been achieved in the required temperature range of the high temperature heat exchanger. This alloy although supposing a reduction in the heat storage capacity comparing with the equivalent salt inorganic PCM, result in an increase in more than 50 times of heat transfer coefficient. This material will be initially theoretically tested in the euquipments under development and later on introduced if results are as good as expected.
